Quest Atlantis Summer 2009

Page history last edited by Neil Hokanson 14 years, 11 months ago

Quest Atlantis professional development will be offered this summer.  There are only 24 of 25 spots available at this time with registration to fill quickly (We have 23 people from our own district who are interested in this training).  Remember, this training is offered online in the evening (7:00 pm our time) via the University of Indiana within the Quest Atlantis virtual world and utilizes Skype as a communication tool.

Your responsibility is to register for the professional development online at the following link, and it is first come first serve; plus, you are competing for spots with other teachers from around the world:

http://atlantis.crlt.indiana.edu/public/pdInfo.pl

You will also need to download and install Quest Atlantis and Skype on a computer that you will use for the training.  My recommendation is also that we all meet at the McKinley lab the first night of the professional development and go through the first session together; then, you can choose to do the remainder of the training at home (See the training schedule below).

Notice there are 4 evening meetings and you can only miss one of the sessions.  Please do not take this professional development if you are unsure you can make it to the sessions.  If you miss you will take away student classes from our district that we could have registered!  You will have opportunities to take it at a later time.

Once you are registered please let me know right away; so, that I can plan for who will be taking this professional development over the summer.

If you have any questions please contact me ASAP as the spots will fill quickly.

Thanks,

Neil Hokanson

Online workshop: USA, Canada June/July
